The University of Sulaimani and the Suli Cybercon Foundation have signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of cyber security.
Today, with the presence of Dr. Zana Mahmood Hassan (the Director of the Language and Culture Center), Dr. Karzan Ghafoor (the Director of Foreign Relations), Mr. Twana Saeed Ali (the Director of Information Technology), and the esteemed representatives from the Suli Cybercon Foundation, a memorandum of understanding in cyber security was signed by the University of Sulaimani and the Cyber-security Foundation.
Initially, the Director of Information Technology emphasized the utmost significance of fostering partnerships between universities and external technology institutions, highlighting their relevance and necessity in the present era. Furthermore, he reiterated the university’s unwavering commitment in the field of cyber security, aiming to further familiarize the university’s specialists, academic staff, and students, specifically the students specializing in computer science and information technology, with the latest advancements in cyber security. To achieve this, the university will take proactive steps by offering an array of initiatives, including opening comprehensive training courses, organizing workshops and symposiums, and providing practical exposure to the realm of cybersecurity.
Later, the Suli Cybercon Foundation reaffirmed their full support for further service to the university in all areas related to cyber security.
