On September 26, 2024, Prof. Dr. Kosar Mohammed Ali, President of the University of Sulaimani, visited Prof. Dr. Bamo Parwez Aziz, President of Halabja University, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Hoshyar Abdullah, President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, and Prof. Dr. Omed Rafiq, President of Jihan University-Sulaimani, to extend their support as he
embarked on his role as president of the university.

The meeting also included Asst. Prof. Dr. Zana Mahmood, Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Shirwan Hama Salih, Vice President for Student Affairs, along with members of the Halabja University Council. During their discussion, they reviewed the current landscape of higher education and considered potential collaborations among the University of Sulaimani, Halabja University, Sulaimani Polytechnic University, and Jihan University-Sulaimani. They highlighted the necessity of strengthening academic and scientific initiatives and conducting joint programs to enhance the universities’ offerings and improve the scientific capabilities of faculty, staff, and students.
