On Monday, February 3, 2025, Professor Dr. Kosar Mohammed Ali, President of the University of Sulaimani, accompanied by the university’s vice presidents and a delegation, welcomed Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammed Hasib, President of Koya University, along with his delegation. During the meeting, the two presidents formally signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and exchanged university shields as a symbolic gesture of academic cooperation.
Dr. Karzan Ghafoor, Director of Academic Relations at the University of Sulaimani, stated on the university’s website that the primary objective of the MoU is to promote joint academic initiatives between the two institutions. These initiatives will encompass collaborative scientific research, jointly organized conferences, and various academic activities. Furthermore, the agreement aims to establish joint master’s and doctoral programs while facilitating the supervision of postgraduate students by faculty members from both universities.
This collaboration is expected to strengthen institutional ties and contribute to shared advancements in education and research.
