UN Deputy Special Representative and Iraqi Under Secretary Held Joint Seminar at University of Sulaimani

Mr.György Busztin, the UN Deputy Special Representative for Iraq for Political, Electoral & Constitutional Affairs and Dr.Omar Berzinji, the Iraqi Under Secretary for legal and multilateral relations visited University of Sulaimani on Thursday January 7th 2016 and met with University officials and presented a joint seminar on UNAMI activities in Iraq & multilateral relations to staff and students.
Their Excellencies Mr.György Busztin and Dr.Omar Berzinji were welcomed by University of Sulaimani President, Professor Dr.Salahalddin Saeed Ali, Vice President for Administrative Affairs Assist. Professor Dr.Ridha Hassan Hussein, Vice President for Student Affairs Dr.Arass Fareeq Zainal and Dr.Karzan G.Khidhir, Director of International Academic Relations.
A meeting was held at the presidency of University of Sulaimani where Mr. György Busztin, Dr. Omar Berzinji and Professor Dr. Salahalddin Saeed discussed the latest developments and possible ways of cooperation between them. Dr.Azad Hama (lecturer), Mrs.Ala Berzinji (Assistant lecturer) and Mr.Karwan (Head of UNAMI office in Sulaimani) were also present at the meeting.
Mr.György Busztin donated several books to University of Sulaimani library and Dr.Salahalddin Saeed thanked both Mr.György Busztin and Dr.Omar Berzinji for their visit. 
After the meeting the distinguished guests were given a brief tour of University of Sulaimani and headed to the seminar hall.
Mr.Busztin, who head the political, electoral and constitutional support component of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), highlighted the UNAMI activities in Iraq.
Dr.Omar Berzinji, The Federal Iraqi Government’ Under Secretary for legal and multilateral relations, and former Iraqi Ambassador to Lebanon and Romania, explained multilateral relations of Iraq after 2003.
More than 400 University staff and students, MPs and several prominent figures attended the joint seminar held in Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of University of Sulaimani.
The seminar was followed by a Q & A session where the seminar presenters answered the audience questions and several points were discussed.
