Experts from University of Sulaimani participated in opening of largest Air pollution filter system in the region

         On the 8th of February 2016, a team of experts from University of Sulaimani has been invited by the Faruq Group Holding, to participate in opening their air pollution system filter and controller, which manage the their cement factory pollution through filtration by electrostatic precipitator (ESP), which has been setup at the Tasluja Cement Factory.

This project was carried out by (Faruq Group, Lafarge and Holcim companies) to filter their factory pollution from the cement factory. This filter has an enormous impact on the protection of environment in the area. the filtration has been done through its effluents that contain dust, smoke, particulate matters and other pollutants. The assistant Professor Dr. Rezan Omer Rashid from the School of Science, Biology Department experts in ecology and pollution, has attended this opening, she also valued the project and mentioned that such a project should be forced in the area to protect our environment, because they have the impact of our life and living creatures around us.
