The University of Sulaimani actively contributes to national and regional initiatives in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As a leading academic institution in the region, the institution engages with governmental and nongovernmental organizations to tackle pressing challenges, develop evidence-based policies, and implement innovative strategies aimed at fostering sustainable development.

One significant collaboration is our partnership with the Vim Foundation, an organization committed to improving health and education, supporting the youth, organizing cultural activities and environmental outcomes. Through this partnership, we focus on identifying critical regional problems, such as healthcare accessibility, educational disparities, and environmental degradation.

This will be a starting point for further activities in the areas of mutual interest.
