A workshop on program development of dental colleges was held at Sulaimani University
Today, Monday 20-2-2023, within the framework of the project of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kurdistan Regional Government to develop curricula in all colleges and departments of universities in the Kurdistan Region, with the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Vice Rectors of Sulaimani University, Deans and Heads of Dental Colleges of Kurdistan Regional Universities and several teachers a workshop on the development of the program of dental colleges was held in the university conference hall.
In this regard, Professor Dr. Amanj Abdullah Saeed, Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Supervisor of the Development of Curricula of Medical Colleges, said: The project of developing curricula in all colleges and universities is a comprehensive and important project In order to link the curriculum more closely to the labor market and to be in line with today's global scientific, medical and technological developments that are constantly and rapidly and relentlessly in new progress and changes every second.
He also stated: through these workshops together, we want all dental colleges in all universities in the region with their opinions, decisions and ideas to participate in changing and developing curricula in all colleges and departments of universities in the Kurdistan Region according to the nature, structure, and needs of each college and department. Implementing this project requires us to look ahead because we will face great challenges, and at the same time use the past as an experience for further development.
Then Professor Dr Ranjdar Mahmoud, Dean of the College of Dentistry of Sulaimani University, said: The curriculum development project is a very necessary and important project that is currently supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education. Therefore, it should be reorganized in such a way that it is in line with modern science and the Bologna process that is currently being implemented in universities, in order to link the curriculum more closely to the labor market
